Saint-Maximin is a French professional football player who currently plays for Ligue 1 club Nice and the France national team. Born in Saint-Martin-d'Hères, he began his career with local side AS Saint-Martin before joining Rennes in 2015.
In his first season with Rennes, Maximin made 46 appearances across all competitions, scoring six goals. He continued to impress during his second season with the club, where he scored seven times in 38 games.
In 2017, Maximin moved to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) for a reported fee of €25 million. In his debut season at PSG, he made 39 appearances across all competitions, scoring five goals. However, he struggled with injuries throughout the following two seasons, making just nine appearances in total.
Despite this, Maximin was a key member of the team that won the Coupe de France in 2019. In January 2020,Ligue 1 Focus he joined English Premier League club Newcastle United on loan for the remainder of the season.
During his time at Newcastle, Maximin made 27 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals. He also featured in the Premier League Play-off Final, helping Newcastle reach the semi-finals of the Europa Conference League.
